GlobalLogic, a Hitachi Group Company and an international leader in digital product engineering, is hiring a Backend Java Developer for its Digital Systems & Services division in Bangalore. Engineered for forward-thinking developers with a strong DevOps mindset, this position focuses on building, extending, and operating massive cloud-native distributed platforms. You will take full architectural ownership of designing asynchronous, high-concurrency microservices, structuring scalable RESTful APIs, and implementing Test-Driven Development (TDD) patterns. Operating within a fast-paced Agile framework with minimal supervision, you will deploy containerized applications across public cloud hyper-scalers via Kubernetes and collaborate directly with frontend squads to translate consumer specifications into responsive, performance-tuned enterprise systems.

Requirements:

• 3 to 7 years of verified professional experience in software application development, specializing in core backend systems and distributed, high-volume server architectures.
• Strong development proficiency inside the Java ecosystem, with hands-on experience utilizing Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Security, and reactive programming architectures like Spring WebFlux.
• Demonstrated operational experience deploying, provisioning, and structuring backend code environments inside public cloud providers, specifically Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Direct production-level experience containerizing multi-tier software apps using Docker and executing orchestration deployments over active Kubernetes clusters.
• Solid conceptual understanding of schema design, data normalization, and query optimization inside standard SQL and Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS).
• Active familiarity with automated test-driven development (TDD), version control orchestration via Git, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) automation pipelines.
• Ability to design, build, and extend high-performance RESTful APIs and internal SDKs, working in tandem with frontend developers to deliver optimal data contracts for client user interfaces.
• Baseline full-stack exposure to a modern JavaScript framework, preferably Angular or React.
• Practical usage of distributed caching, search engines, and message brokers like Elasticsearch, NoSQL databases (MongoDB/Cassandra), in-memory data structures (Redis), or queue management tools.
• Structural experience handling data analytics ingestion frameworks.
• Proven capacity to adapt swiftly within fluid Agile environments under minimal technical supervision, alongside a willingness to mentor incoming software developers and junior engineers.
